The only thing good about Christmas is basketball.

Even if you are not a basketball fan the Christmas game is always a must see…especially this year. There are two games scheduled for this great day of empty bank accounts, broken dreams, and shattered credit histories. The one to watch, however, is the Championship Boston Celtics as they take to the streets of Los Angeles to battle the Lakers. Both teams are hungry. Both teams have fans that are willing to burn down a city and pillage a community in celebration. In the eighties these two franchises produced the best rivalry the game has ever seen: Magic Johnson rocking and rolling with the Lakers while Larry Bird gave Bostonians a reason to live. These two teams offered us some of the most memorable moments witnessed on the hardwood. Their competitive nature and the general disdain for one another made every meeting between them classics which will never be forgotten. We can only hope that last year’s final was the beginning of a new era of outstanding basketball.

All I got for Christmas was a face full of nuts!
